Despite the threatening weather on Sunday, June 3, 2001, over 400 riders and eighty volunteers turned out to make the Ecology Center's EcoRide 30 one of the most successful rides in its 30-year history. The rain never fell, and the sun was out by early afternoon. The riders enjoyed their selected routes (2 - 60 miles) and the festivities, courtesy of our many local business sponsors, following the ride.
EcoRide 30 brought in $43,000, making it the second-highest earning EcoRide/BAT in Ecology Center history. The #1 bike-a-thon took place in 1990, when the Center made $45,000.
