Raising pledges makes EcoRide a FUNdraiser Ride! Get your family, friends and co-workers to sponsor your ride. Getting pledges is easy -- people like having an opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause. Plus you can earn incentive prizes for your fundraising efforts! Best of all you’ll know you’ve helped the Ecology Center.
Day 1 Sign yourself up. (Pick an amount that feels good to you -- perhaps the registration fee amount -- $10, $15, or $25.) For example, we’ll use: $10
Day 2 Ask two family members to contribute the same: $20
Day 3 Take your Sponsor Form to work and ask a minimum of 3 co-workers (or make a sign and hang in the coffee area): $30 (or more)
Day 4 Call (or e-mail -- this works great!) 4 friends: $40
Day 5 You’ve already reached $100, but keep going!: $100+
Ask your boss for a company donation (many businesses even have matching gift
programs). Ask additional friends, family and associates (e-mail is a great
way to spread the word). Ask neighbors and ask businesses you frequent -- doctor,
dentist, florist....
Collection Tip: To make collecting your donations easier, do it at the time of pledging whenever possible. After the ride, make a point to tell your sponsors how the ride went and thank them again for their support.
You and your sponsors can pay your pledges online
at www.ecocenter.org. Click on “Donate
Now” and simply write “EcoRide” and the rider’s
name in the
designation section of the donation form.
