One of the best ways to raise funds for EcoRide is to form a team. Teams are groups of 5-10 friends, relatives, or colleagues that compete against one another to raise funds for the Ecology Center and win prizes. Teams are a great way to have fun with your buddies and get more people involved in FUNdraising.
You and your teammates sign up under the same team name (see registration form in brochure), but individual members can ride the route of their choice. You can win team prizes and qualify for individual incentive prizes, too!
Every team needs a leader!
Team Champions inspire others to get involved in EcoRide and form teams. If you have formed your own team in the past (or even if you haven't) this may be your calling! Team Champions can also be EcoRiders and may ride on one of the teams they help to form. Top Team Champions (based on the number of teams started, total riders and amounts raised by those teams) will be honored.
As part of a team your pledge raising power is enhanced exponentionally! Think of it like a (legal) pyramid scheme. Instead of just you raising pledges you have a whole team of pledgegetters and therefore have the ability to raise a WHOLE-LOT-A funds for EcoRide and also a WHOLE-LOT-A FUN! Check out the brochure for more details on how to raise money and win prizes.
You can double your fundraising - and increase your chance to win prizes - if your employer matches donations by employees (that's you AND your pledge sponsors). Your employer also might want to be involved with the publicity and good will that comes from sponsoring the EcoRide with a company donation.
