Looking for a way to help kids learn about sustainability and stewardship for the natural environment?

Volunteer to help present the Ecology Center’s (EC’s) Solid Waste and Storm Water Education programs and you’ll connect kids and teachers to those concepts in a fun and exciting way. As an Eco-Education Volunteer, you’ll assist EC staff conduct environmental programs for students during the school day.

The EC’s seven different programs for K-6 students are aligned with state science standards and local school curriculum. Each one-hour program includes hands-on and other creative activities that integrate science, math, literacy, engineering, and the arts.

The Ecology Center also conducts Recycle Renewed Family Fun Events for the community. Volunteers can assist with learning stations and booths at these events, held in the evening or weekends.

As an Ecology Center Volunteer, you’ll be doing important work to help expand environmental education for K-6 students and families in the Ann Arbor area. Sound interesting?
