Green Chemistry Project

The Ecology Center helped create the nation’s first state-level Gubernatorial Green Chemistry Awards, and the first state-supported Green Chemistry Program. The program promotes research, development, demonstration, education and technology transfer to advance Green Chemistry in the state.

What's New?

The Ecology Center is part of a consortium of organizations helping to build the Michigan Green Chemistry Clearinghouse, a compendium of activity on Green Chemistry in Michigan.

In collaboration with the Clearinghouse, the Center publishes Catalyst, a quarterly newsletter on Green Chemistry activities for the general public.

Next Generation Science Standards

Ecology Center staff along with the Michigan Green Chemistry Roundtable commented on the new science standards released in April. Michgan is one of 26 states that will adopt the standards that recognize our interdependence with nature!
