Ann Arbor Climate Action

It's Our Future! #ActOnClimate

At the core of the Ecology Center’s local climate work, there is an understanding of the science and a strong belief that each individual can make a difference. Climate solutions require innovation, and innovation usually starts on a small scale -- like right here in our own backyard.

The Ecology Center’s work on climate change and greenhouse gas reduction is strategic, comprehensive, and innovative. Recognizing that local, individualized action is critical to addressing the climate crisis, we started this work with Ann Arbor 350, a project to organize residents to support policies and programs throughout the state that reduces our overall carbon footprint. While Ann Arbor 350 is no longer in operation. Now, we are coordinating the A2 Climate Partnership to implement Ann Arbor's Climate Action Plan.

Ann Arbor's Climate Action Plan was first created in 2012. While much work has been done, there is a lot of work left to do.
