The ReUse Center store, one of the most popular programs of Recycle Ann Arbor, will shift the hours the store is open for shoppers and donations beginning the first week of December.
Sunday open hours will change to 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the store had been open on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Monday through Saturday, the store hours will stay the same, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Donations will be accepted on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations will not be accepted on Wednesdays.
“These small operational changes, especially to donation days, will allow customers to have a more pleasant shopping experience, as they will allow our staff one full day to focus their time on organization and store clean-up,” according to Jack Middlebrook, manager of the ReUse Center.
The ReUse Center is located at 2420 S. Industrial Hwy. in Ann Arbor. Recycle Ann Arbor, a national leader in recycling and waste programs, is a subsidiary of the Ecology Center.
The ReUse Center accepts donations of reusable items including building materials (windows, tiles, doors, etc.) and household items (couches, dressers, kitchenware, etc.). Those items are then put on sale in the 20,000 square foot store.
