FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- April
13, 2007
Saturday, April 14, from 12-2pm
at Ingalls Mall on the UM central campus
(between Burton Memorial Tower and the Michigan
League)
Now
is your opportunity to take a stand for significantly cutting carbon
emissions by 2050! Join the Ecology Center, along with 16 Ann Arbor
community groups and University departments as we rally against
climate change!
WCBN radio host Jerry Mack will emcee a program with speakers, Mayor Hieftje, Congressman Dingell, Alternative Energy expert Duncan Calloway and the Reverend Peggy Garrigues-Cortleyou of Michigan Power and Light. Enjoy live music, educational booths, dancing, and polar bears!
The event will take place from 12-2pm on the Ingalls Mall, between Burton Memorial Tower and the Michigan League. An aerial photo will show we are part of the thousands of Step It Up actions happening throughout the nation. We need everyone's support to show our government and the world that we are serious about climate change and that we are taking action. Bring along your friends and family.
Put yourself in the picture, and make a difference!
