Ecology Center Annual Events
Below are descriptions of events hosted annually by the Ecology Center. Please check the box to the right for dates and details on current upcoming events.
This annual event typically features Ecology Center staff and board presentations, reports on Ecology Center programs, and the election of board members. Our 2014 meeting included a presentation on the Future of Transportation in Southeast Michigan by Jonathan Levine, Professor of Urban and Regional Planning.
Our Premier Event: Fall Dinner
Please join us Wednesday, November 12 with guest speaker Anna Lappé, at Zingerman's Cornman Farms.
Lappé, author of Diet for a Hot Planet: The Climate Crisis at the End of Your Fork and What You Can Do About It, is one of the most respected and influential advocates working for a more sustainable food system in America today.
The Ecology Center works on climate and food at both the grassroots and systems levels with the belief that everyone should have access to healthy, green, local, affordable food. Anna Lappé's message offers a vision of how we can act for a food system that can be healing for our planet.
Tickets are now available. We hope you will join us.

Dance for the Earth - Unplugged!
Dance for the Earth- Unplugged was held Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 5-9pm at Bill's Beer Garden in downtown Ann Arbor. Great fun was had by all with live acoustic music and dancing, as Bill's Beer Garden generously donated $1 from each drink purchased to benefit the Mary Beth Doyle Environmental Health Fund supporting our clean air, safe consumer products, and women's and children's health campaigns.
