Speciality cleaning products include: degreasers, dish-washing detergents, drain cleaners, graffiti removers, laundry detergent, metal cleaning products, oven cleaning products, paint removers, and upholstery cleaning.
Proposed procurement goals:
- Inventory speciality cleaning products
- Purchase 80% Cradle to Cradle Silver or higher, Green Seal, Safer Choice, or UL ECOLOGO certified speciality cleaning products
- Require product ingredient disclosure in all contracts or all vendors meet the California Cleaning Product Right to Know Act of 2017
- Require disclosure of PFAS in all products considered for purchase: Michigan Executive Directive 2021-8, Reducing State Purchases of Products Containing Intentionally Added PFAS
