Markus Merin joined the Ecology Center in Winter 2026 as the Environmental Storytelling Fellow through the Rackham Doctoral Internship program. He is a PhD candidate in the Department of History, completing a dissertation on Italian politics during the Cold War. He is part of the communications team at the Ecology Center and has worked on multiple projects relating to PFAS contamination.
