This year’s Day of the Dead Exhibit at the Detroit Institute of Arts honors three beloved community members whose lives were cut short by poor air quality — DJ, Curley, and Sylvia. Their stories remind us why clean air isn’t just a policy issue. It’s about protecting our kids, our workers, and our neighbors.
Visit the exhibit Sept. 27 – Nov. 2 (during regular museum hours) to celebrate their lives and reflect on how we can build a healthier future together. Detroit deserves clean air.
There will also be a private event at the DIA on Thursday, October 23rd from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Join us to view the altar, enjoy food, music, & the virtual altar before hearing youth poetry and attending a panel with artists, families, and advocates.
Register HERE for the private event.
