PFAS in Small Farms, Home Gardens

PFAS in Home Gardens and Small Farms Webinar

Published on March 25, 2026

On April 20th, Ecology Center, alongside our partners at Great Lakes PFAS Action Network and Sanctuary Farms, hosted a webinar designed for home gardeners, small‑scale growers, and anyone concerned about PFAS in their soil.

Watch the recorded webinar to learn about sources of PFAS in composts and fertilizers, and the conditions that contribute to PFAS crop uptake. Listen to researchers share practical steps individuals can take to minimize PFAS in their gardens and small farms, along with options for addressing contaminated soil. Participants had opportunities to ask questions and left with resources for further action.
